Since the start of the day, 58 clashes have been reported on the front lines
The heaviest fighting is ongoing in several areas. As of this time on May 30, there have already been 58 combat engagements along the front line.
This is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 4:00 p.m.
Russian artillery shelling targeted the border settlements of Ryzhivka, Korenok, Bachivsk, Sopych, Rohizne, Bunyachyne, Yastrubshchyna, Bezsalivka, Atynske, and Vilna Sloboda in the Sumy region, as well as Hremyach in the Chernihiv region.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, five clashes took place, with the Russians carrying out 30 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces stormed the positions of Ukrainian units five times in the areas of Veterinarne, Lyman, and toward Izbytske and Ternova.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces twice toward Novoosynove and in the Petropavlivka area; one clash is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four attempts by Russian invaders to advance toward Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, and Ozerny; two clashes are ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped one attempt by Russian invaders to advance toward Kryva Luka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks near Pleshchiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders attempted 19 times to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, and Udachne, as well as toward Bilytske and Dorozhne; two firefights are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attempted twice to advance toward Kalynivka; one engagement is ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled 18 Russian attacks in the areas of Zlagoda, Olenokostyantynivka, and toward Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Huliaipole; five firefights are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No attempts by Russian forces to advance have been recorded.
