In Russia, new restrictions have been introduced for drivers waiting in line at gas stations
In Russia, due to the worsening fuel crisis, new rules of conduct for drivers at gas stations have been introduced.
At one gas station in Irkutsk, a notice from the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Irkutsk Region was posted, prohibiting drivers from getting out of their cars and talking to one another. The document states that these restrictions were introduced following the arrest of four individuals suspected of organizing artificial lines and reselling fuel.
Drivers are also required to turn on their hazard lights while waiting in line. Gas station managers have been instructed to post these notices by July 10, brief their employees, and send a photo report to the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirming compliance with the requirements.
