In Russia, specialists from the Black Sea Fleet are being transferred to the newly formed drone forces
Another round of personnel changes is looming within the Russian military leadership due to its inability to protect the fleet from Ukrainian attacks.
The ATESh partisan movement reported this on Telegram.
The issue of removing Admiral Serhiy Pinchuk, commander of the Black Sea Fleet, from his post is currently under consideration, as his competence is the subject of heated debate even among his subordinates.
According to the ATESH partisan movement, citing its own sources at the Black Sea Fleet’s 475th Separate Electronic Warfare Center, the admiral’s inability to ensure the safety of ships and coastal bases has become evident.
“This is being discussed openly, no longer in whispers—everyone understands that he is not up to the task,” the activists quote their agent as saying.
Systemic losses of naval personnel have forced the Russian General Staff to seek ways to use personnel “more effectively.”
Due to an acute shortage of naval specialists, personnel are being transferred en masse to the newly formed Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).
The command decided that sailors would be more useful as drone operators than on board ships that are constantly under threat of destruction.
“The exodus of personnel from the fleet amid systemic management failures is a direct indicator of how much the Russian Navy has lost its combat capability following a series of losses in the Black Sea,” representatives of “ATESH” conclude.
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the Russian fleet has effectively lost the initiative in the waters, and its flagship vessels and “Kalibr” missile carriers are regularly being hit.
