Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian convoy near Chasovy Yar (video)
Ukrainian defense forces struck a column of Russian troops near Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. According to preliminary reports, the occupiers suffered losses in both equipment and personnel.
The “East” military group reported this on Facebook and released video footage of the strike captured by a camera belonging to the Russian Armed Forces.
“On the approaches to Chasiv Yar, units of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, in coordination with the 427th ‘RAROG’ Unmanned Systems Brigade, engaged the enemy infantry,” the statement reads.
As the military noted, “more than 20 Russians were moving in the open from the direction of Bakhmut. Reconnaissance detected them, and artillery and drones took them out. We operated in a coordinated manner.”
“An interesting point: the video includes footage from the Russians’ own GoPro cameras—where you can see their reaction to such a strike,” noted the “East” Operational Command.
Since the start of the day on May 12, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 57 times; the most active combat operations are ongoing in the Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk directions.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a Russian missile carrier equipped with Kalibr missiles.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces denied an attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group to break through to Nikopol.
