Explosions heard in Russia’s Saratov region amid drone attack
During the night of December 8, a series of loud explosions was heard in Saratov and Engels.
This was reported by local channels.
According to eyewitnesses, air-defense units were operating in the region.
Local residents assume that the explosions may have been the result of impacts following a drone attack.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 12 drones were allegedly destroyed over the territory of the Saratov region.
As a reminder, during the night of December 7, another series of explosions was heard in Russia’s Saratov region. Earlier, an air-raid alert was declared in the region due to the threat of a drone attack.
Also, on the night of December 5, Ukrainian drones struck the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region and the Temryuk seaport in Krasnodar Krai. Fires broke out at both locations, and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
