On the morning of September 2, a powerful explosion rocked Kolobov Street in occupied Sevastopol. After the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area, and local media reported that a man had been injured—presumably a Russian officer.

The explosion occurred around 7:00 a.m. Eyewitnesses said the sound could be heard on neighboring streets. Initially, there were conflicting reports about the cause of the incident. Some local residents speculated that a drone had exploded, while others reported that it was a car. Later, information emerged that it was a Mazda that had exploded.

According to preliminary data, a homemade explosive device with a yield of approximately 400 g of TNT equivalent was likely planted under the engine compartment. The driver sustained serious injuries and is currently in the hospital.
