Video: A Russian drone was flying toward the office of SBU Chairman Poklad
On September 4, a Russian drone struck the main building of the Security Service of Ukraine on Volodymyrska Street in Kyiv, across from St. Sophia Cathedral.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this after speaking with SBU Director Oleksandr Poklad.
According to the president, the Russian drone was aimed directly at the SBU chief’s office. As a result of the attack, a strike on the security service building in the center of the capital was recorded.
Emergency services are on the scene. According to Zelenskyy, the victims are to be provided with all necessary assistance.
The president instructed the head of the SBU to prepare an “adequate, tangible, and, if possible, symmetrical” response to Russia for this attack.
On September 4, a Russian drone struck a building of the Security Service of Ukraine near the “Zoloti Vorota” metro station in central Kyiv. A fire broke out at the scene.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, debris from a downed Russian attack drone set fire to the warehouse facilities of one of the local enterprises. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past day, 15 private homes were damaged in the Mykolaiv region as a result of attacks by Russian Shahed-type strike drones. A social services building and three cars were also damaged, according to Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Head Heorhiy Reshetilov.
