Civilians were injured in Sumy following a drone attack
In Sumy, a Russian drone attacked a transportation infrastructure facility. Initially, two casualties were reported, but the number of injured later rose to four. All of the victims are civilians. Some were hospitalized, while others received medical attention at the scene.
On Wednesday, Russian troops attacked a transport infrastructure facility in Sumy. This was reported by Serhiy Kryvosheyko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration. According to him, an enemy drone struck the infrastructure facility, causing a fire. Rescue workers managed to quickly bring the situation under control and extinguish the blaze.
Immediately after the attack, it was reported that two people had been injured. A 62-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman sustained injuries. Both were taken to the hospital. According to the city military administration, their condition is assessed as satisfactory. “The condition of the 62-year-old man and the 36-year-old woman is satisfactory; both are in the hospital,” Serhiy Kryvosheyko said.
It later became known that there were more victims. According to updated information, two more women, aged 69 and 38, were also injured. Fortunately, their injuries were not serious. Medical personnel provided the necessary assistance right at the scene. “Two more women—aged 69 and 38—were injured. Their condition is satisfactory; they received qualified medical care on site,” noted the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
Specialized services are currently working at the site of the strike. Experts are assessing the extent of the damage and documenting the consequences of yet another Russian attack. There is no information on fatalities at this time. Sumy is regularly targeted by Russian forces due to its proximity to the border with Russia. Residential areas, infrastructure facilities, and civilian enterprises are frequently targeted.
