In Zaporizhzhia, the Yuvileiny meat processing plant suspended operations following an attack by the Russian Federation
In Zaporizhzhia, Russian troops struck a branch of the “Yuvileiny” meat processing plant, causing the facility to temporarily suspend operations. The attack sparked a massive fire that raged for nearly the entire night.
According to the company, at around 7:30 p.m., the occupiers attacked the Zaporizhzhia branch with two rocket-powered drones. After the strike, the warehouse and production facilities caught fire.
Maksym Rak, head of the Zaporizhzhia branch, reported that extinguishing the fire was difficult.
“We fought the fire until morning because it would flare up again every half hour,” he noted.
The strike damaged warehouse and office facilities, forcing the Zaporizhzhia division to temporarily suspend operations.
According to the head of the branch, mass casualties were avoided thanks to the rotating staff schedule. At the time of the attack, only security guards were on the premises, and they were unharmed.
The company is currently working to clean up the aftermath of the Russian strike and assess the damage.
