The Ukrainian Armed Forces have debunked a false report claiming that Russian forces had captured Myropil in the Sumy region
The village of Myropillia in the Sumy region remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Reports of its alleged capture by Russian occupiers are untrue.
The “Kursk” military group reported this on Facebook.
“Once again, we refute Russian fantasies. This time, the enemy’s Ministry of Defense claimed to have captured the village of Myropillia in the Sumy region. We officially state that this is a blatant lie. The “Kursk” military group reports: our units control the area; there has been no enemy advance, nor any assault operations in that area over the past few days,” the statement reads.
It is noted that we are once again witnessing information convulsions ahead of another “sacred date.” May 9 is approaching—the main fetish of Russian military mythology.
“It is telling that their so-called ‘special military operation’ has already lasted longer than the war whose victory the Russians are celebrating. But orders and medals are needed every year, so settlements are ‘captured’ at least in news reports. We suspect that at this rate, by May 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense will report the capture of the entire Sumy region.)))”, the group reported.
As a reminder, since the start of the day on May 2, the number of attacks by Russian invaders has reached 51. Putin’s allies are shelling border areas of the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of a Russian tactical group, a convoy, and a UAV command post.
Russian troops have advanced near Riznykivka in the Donetsk region. Analysts at DeepState reported the change in the situation after updating the map of hostilities.
