The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched a digital service that allows them to strike targets within minutes
The 8th Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Airborne Assault Troops has begun full-scale use of the Target Hub digital service, which is part of the DELTA situational awareness system.
The “Kursk” task force under the corps’ command became the first unit to integrate this module at the operational level.
The main advantage of the new system is a radical reduction in the time required to transfer targets between units.
Whereas bureaucratic procedures and approvals could previously take up to three days, this process now takes only a few minutes.
Military officials explain how the Target Hub works using a simple analogy with an online taxi-hailing service.
The system automatically selects the nearest available weapon for the detected enemy target, allowing for the fastest possible response.
“How it used to be: you spot a target but can’t destroy it yourself—you have to write an order, get approval, pass it up the chain of command, and then wait for a decision. Sometimes the process took up to three days, during which the target could simply disappear,” notes the press service of the 8th Airborne Corps.
The digital interface allows the operator to see the target in real time through the eyes of the scouts and assess the available firepower of neighboring units.
The order to engage is transmitted instantly, without the need for telephone approvals or filling out paper reports.
An important feature of Target Hub is the prevention of duplicate fire when several units simultaneously attack the same target. This allows for significant ammunition savings and optimal resource allocation on the battlefield.
The system was developed by specialists from the Ministry of Defense’s Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies in collaboration with the corps headquarters’ digital group.
Over the course of two months, the module underwent testing and refinement directly in combat conditions in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector.
“The occupiers no longer have the luxury of three days while we sort out the paperwork. They have only a few minutes to pray,” Ukrainian paratroopers concluded.
As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 9 settlements.
The Defense Forces also repelled 147 attacks and struck enemy command posts.
