Ukraine is preparing a crushing response to potential aggression by Belarus
The Russian Federation is actively preparing Belarus for a possible escalation along the border with Ukraine, attempting to create a new flashpoint.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine assures that the Armed Forces are fully in control of the situation and are prepared for any possible scenarios.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the NSDC, emphasized that Belarus’s military capabilities are currently quite limited.
According to him, without direct support from Russian occupiers, the Belarusian army is incapable of conducting serious independent operations.
There is currently a limited number of Russian units on the territory of the republic, making a large-scale invasion in the near future unlikely.
The Ukrainian command views Minsk’s current actions exclusively as informational and psychological provocations.
However, experts are noting the active development of logistical infrastructure on Belarusian territory. This indicates that the Kremlin is considering the possibility of aggressive actions in the long term, preparing a foothold for the future.
Andriy Kovalenko stated: “There is no military threat here and now. Our troops are ready for anything. If provocations are carried out against us, it will be Lukashenko’s mistake. The Belarusians will suffer a crushing defeat. They may even lose their territory.”
The main task that Moscow has set for the Belarusian regime is to constantly escalate tensions in the border regions.
This is being done to force Ukraine to divert reserves from active sections of the front in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Ukrainian defense forces are on high alert and are closely monitoring the movement of enemy equipment.
Any attempt to cross the border or carry out an armed provocation will receive an immediate and harsh response.
