Russians have attacked Defense Forces positions 84 times; fighting continues — General Staff
Since the start of the current 24-hour period, Russian occupation forces have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 84 times across various sections of the front.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the most intense fighting is currently taking place in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.
Border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from massive artillery shelling.
The settlements of Korenok, Bachivsk, Ulanove, Malushyne, and Zaliznyi Mist came under fire, while enemy aircraft attacked Vilna Sloboda and Pavlivka.
The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk direction—the occupiers attempted 32 times to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions.
Fighting took place in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, and Kotlyne, with two clashes still ongoing.
“Defense forces successfully repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Dobropillia, Zelené, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, and Olenokostiantynivka,” the General Staff reports on the situation in the Huliaipole sector.
In this sector, the enemy also actively used aviation, striking Lyubytske and Mykilsk.
In the Kostyantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 13 assault operations near Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Sofiivka. Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy’s advance, maintaining their defenses under heavy enemy fire.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman sectors, the occupiers made three attempts to improve their tactical position, particularly near Kivsharivka and Hrekivka. Defense forces are effectively halting attempts by enemy units to advance deeper into the territory.
Southern regions are also under pressure: in the Dnipro direction, two failed assault attempts were recorded near the Antonivsky Bridge.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to advance near Pavlivka, using air support.
In the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk sectors, the invaders did not conduct any active offensive operations during the day.
Ukrainian defense forces are in control of the situation and are inflicting losses in personnel and equipment on the enemy across all sectors of combat.
