Ukraine supported the U.S. proposal for an energy ceasefire with Russia

Ukraine is ready to join U.S. diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching an agreement with Russia to halt attacks on energy infrastructure.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that Kyiv will work to implement the U.S. proposal for such a pause. Ukraine’s position has already been communicated to its international partners.

“Ukraine supports the United States’ efforts aimed at achieving an energy ceasefire,” Sibiga emphasized.

According to him, several other close partners of Ukraine have also proposed their own approaches to a future agreement.

At the same time, the minister stressed that there is currently no final agreement with Russia. Kyiv hopes that the joint diplomatic efforts of its partners, primarily the U.S., will help reach concrete agreements.
