Ukraine has extended sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex and its collaborators

Ukraine has extended sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex and its collaborators

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees enacting the National Security and Defense Council’s decision to extend sanctions against entities that support the Russian military-industrial complex and to impose sanctions on collaborators

The new restrictive measures are aimed at completely isolating individuals and companies that are helping the aggressor country wage a war of aggression.

The first decision concerns the extension of sanctions against companies and their founders who manufacture and modernize Russian firearms, produce drones and data exchange systems for the occupiers, and provide meteorological and technical support to the Russian Air Force.

This step will block the supply chains and financial assets of companies that supply the Russian army on the front lines.

Ukrainian authorities systematically track all supply chains for components used in enemy weaponry. The extension of these restrictions closes loopholes that could be used to circumvent previously imposed international bans.

The second sanctions package targets 67 individuals and one company that support Russia’s armed aggression and serve the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories.

Among them are so-called ministers, lawmakers, and judges. All of them directly participated in establishing the occupation regime and in repressions against the local population.

The list includes individuals who have committed serious crimes against humanity. In particular, it includes Raisa Prylypko, the director of a kindergarten, who helped abduct and illegally transport children from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast to Russia.

Also subject to restrictions is Ivan Dotsenko, head of the agricultural firm “MIR,” who called on business representatives and farmers in the Kherson region to serve the enemy, and the company “Soyuzmetalservice,” which ensures the operation of metallurgical, coke-chemical, and coal enterprises in Donetsk and Luhansk regions that were illegally seized by the occupiers.

This was officially announced by the Office of the President.
