Ukraine has submitted official proposals regarding the possibility of holding a meeting and bringing the full-scale war to a definitive end to both its key partners and countries that maintain ties with the Russian dictator.
Now, the further resolution of the conflict depends entirely on the willingness of the Russian Federation’s leadership to cease hostilities.
The Ukrainian government has developed and shared a clear vision for ending the military conflict, involving a wide range of international actors in the process.
The President emphasized that the Ukrainian side has demonstrated maximum openness to dialogue in order to restore justice and international law.
The main condition for achieving a result remains a reciprocal move on the part of Moscow.
“Ukraine has made proposals to key partners, and Putin’s friends have heard from us that a meeting is possible and that an end to this war is possible. Russia must take this step toward peace,” the head of state noted.
The ball is now in the Kremlin’s court, which must demonstrate a genuine—rather than merely declarative—desire to stop the bloodshed.
The international community has received a clear signal that Kyiv is not dragging out the process but is seeking diplomatic solutions.
At the same time, any negotiations must be based on respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
