Satellite images showing critical damage to the Russian Space Communications Center have emerged

New satellite images have emerged as evidence of extensive damage to a strategic Russian facility

Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the “Vladimir” Space Communications Center in the Vladimir region and the Orenburg gas processing plant.

Recent satellite images show significant holes in the roofs, destroyed unique equipment, and a complete halt to production processes at the aggressor’s facilities.

Analysis of the data has confirmed the results of the strike carried out on the night of June 22 by units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces against the “Vladimir” Space Communications Center (SCC) near Gus-Khrustalny in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation.

The latest radar and optical images from orbit clearly detailed the consequences of the explosions at this top-secret facility.

Specifically, the complex’s main antenna (a 25-meter parabolic antenna) and the antenna on the roof of the Main Hardware and Software Complex were critically damaged.

Images from space also made it possible to assess the destruction of the center’s internal architecture, which provided direct communication between military satellites and command posts.

The central part of the Main Hardwareand Software Complex, which houses, in particular, the satellite modem and multiplexer rooms, as well as the central switching node where fiber-optic communication lines from other space centers converge.

Analysts who have examined the published satellite photographs note the high precision of Ukrainian weapons.

The explosions occurred directly at the locations of the most critical infrastructure nodes, making a rapid restoration of the facility virtually impossible.

The Equipment and Technical Building No. 1 was also critically damaged; it houses the transmission and reception complexes, the central switching station for the Center’s antenna post cable routes, and the cooling equipment for the transmitters and electronics of the complex’s main antenna.

The disruption of temperature control and the destruction of the cooling systems led to the failure of the surviving equipment due to overheating.

Official military sources state that this strike significantly undermined the Russian Federation’s ability to conduct operational command and control of its troop formations.

The Russian army has partially lost a stable channel for transmitting encrypted data over long distances.
