Ukrainian soldiers from Stugna-P shot down a Russian drone
Soldiers from the 1021st Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment intercepted a Russian drone during an attack. To do so, they used a system based on the "Stugna-P" anti-tank missile, which the Ukrainian military had adapted to engage aerial targets. The moment the missile struck and the drone exploded was captured on video.
The Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian drone using an anti-aircraft system based on the “Stugna-P.” The military used the system to engage an aerial target during a Russian attack. Specifically, this refers to the Russian “Geran-2” and “Gerbera” attack drones. This method of use allows existing weapons to be employed against drones as well. At the same time, this requires special training for the troops, since the system was not originally designed as an air defense weapon.

Ukrainian troops continue to employ various methods to counter Russian drones, combining standard-issue weapons with unconventional solutions.
