Ukrainian border guards are stepping up security along the border with Belarus

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is reinforcing its northern sector and establishing a “buffer zone” along the border with Belarus. These measures are being taken in preparation for a possible attack by the neighboring country.

Border guards are constructing anti-tank trenches, multi-level barbed-wire barriers, and rows of concrete “dragon’s teeth.” And this is only part of the fortifications being erected by State Border Service personnel along the northern border.

To fortify the border, they are also using “Yegoza” barriers and anti-tank trenches, which effectively form a “kill zone” for enemy soldiers, who will become targets for FPV drones.

The military is paying special attention to waterways, particularly the Dnipro River. Border guards reported that they have encountered Belarusian water patrols on several occasions.

“While patrolling on the water, we sometimes encounter Belarusian patrols. But there are no provocative actions on their part,” says a border guard.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.

Belarus continues to expand its military infrastructure near the border with Ukraine, according to the State Border Guard Service.

As a reminder, Lukashenko stated that Belarusian military personnel will not take part in the war against Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that one should not be naive about Belarus’s role in Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to him, Minsk is under strong influence from Moscow, and most of the Belarusian government’s decisions are effectively dictated by the Kremlin.
