The Armed Forces of Ukraine Killed 1,490 Occupiers in the Past 24 Hours – General Staff
On August 24, Ukrainian defenders killed approximately 1,490 Russian soldiers. The Russian Federation’s total military casualties since the start of the full-scale war have reached 1,478,070.
As of August 24, Russia has lost the following in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel – approximately 1,478,070 (+1,490) people;
- tanks – 12,293 (+1);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,211 (+9);
- artillery systems – 48,519 (+68);
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 2,056 (+2);
- air defense systems – 1,586 (+1);
- aircraft – 440 (+0);
- helicopters – 354 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,368 (+16) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 478,327 (+1,761) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,052 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 138,773 (+554) units;
- specialized equipment – 4,575 (+6) units

As a reminder, drones attacked Ozon logistics centers in two regions of the Russian Federation at once.
Drones also attacked Krasnodar and caused a fire at a warehouse
Earlier, warehouses caught fire in Akulovo, near Moscow.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones reached the Arkhangelsk region—located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine—for the first time. Their target may have been the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia’s only active military spaceport.
Robert Brovdi (call sign “Madyar”), commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, reported on August 23 on the results of operations against Russian terrorist targets.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out localized counterattacks and advanced on several sections of the front. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian forces halted the Russian advance in the Kozacha Lopana area and also made gains near Kostiantynivka and in the Zaporizhzhia region.
