Ukrainian forces destroyed an enemy logistics facility and communications equipment near Selidovo

The Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a successful joint operation to deliver a comprehensive strike against key rear-area infrastructure facilities of the Russian invaders in the Donetsk region. Through the joint efforts of several units, they managed to completely destroy the logistics area of the occupying forces, which was located approximately twenty kilometers southeast of Pokrovsk. 

This was reported by the press service of the 7th Corps of the Airborne Forces. To carry out the high-precision strike, Ukrainian defenders deployed HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and medium-range strike drones.

As a result of the precise strike, a large logistics depot deployed by the invaders on the territory of a former coal mine was completely destroyed. In addition to the logistics hub, the units destroyed an extensive network of radio equipment and antennas that Russian forces had strategically placed atop a local slag heap. This extensive network helped the occupiers maintain stable internet connectivity in Pokrovsk and also allowed operators to remotely launch and guide “Molniya”-type strike drones toward the frontline positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past 24 hours on May 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces killed and wounded 1,170 Russian occupiers. The enemy’s total losses in the war have reached 1,348,790 personnel. 

Prior to this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,020 Russian troops on the front lines over the course of a day.

The occupiers complain that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are cutting off the land corridor to Crimea with drones.
