On the night of July 25–26, Russian forces launched an attack on Kyiv, resulting in fires in the Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of the capital. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to rescue workers, a fire engulfed a warehouse in the Desnianskyi district. Ten passenger cars and a truck were also destroyed in a parking lot.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out in a four-story, evacuated building. In addition, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, debris fell onto an 18-story residential building, causing a fire on the seventh and eighth floors.

In the Solomyanskyi district, a fire broke out in a non-residential building, which was also damaged.

The State Emergency Service reported that all sources of the fire have already been extinguished. As of this morning, there were no reports of casualties.

As a reminder, since the start of the current 24-hour period on July 25, 202 combat engagements have been recorded on the front lines. Russian troops launched one missile strike using two missiles, carried out 56 airstrikes, dropping 165 guided bombs, deployed 6,490 kamikaze drones for attacks, and carried out 2,302 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian intelligence has detected the Kremlin’s preparations for a new wave of mobilization measures this fall. According to him, Russia may also be planning to recruit approximately 30,000 more troops from North Korea for the war against Ukraine.
