Video: Russia Is Withdrawing Resources from the Front Lines to Protect Its Military Logistics — Andriushchenko
Russian troops are forced to step up security along their logistics routes following Ukrainian strikes, which requires the deployment of additional forces and resources.
This was reported by Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation. According to him, the mobile fire groups accompanying Russian military convoys are effectively drawing the occupiers’ resources away from the front lines.
“The Russians’ mobile fire groups are a brilliant way for the Ukrainian Defense Forces to divert Russian resources from the front lines. No exaggeration,” Andriushchenko noted.
He reported that Russian military vehicles are currently moving mostly in convoys of up to five vehicles, primarily trucks. Each such convoy is accompanied by one to three mobile fire groups.
According to Andriushchenko, this week alone, between 30 and 50 trucks were recorded daily moving toward Donetsk, with slightly fewer vehicles heading toward Berdiansk. In addition, fuel tankers are being transported under heavy guard.
By his estimates, at least 44 mobile fire teams were deployed simultaneously in the area around the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol alone.
Andriushchenko believes that the need to allocate significant forces to escort military convoys has become one of the consequences of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ strikes against Russian logistics.

As a reminder, on July 21 and 22, Russian troops carried out limited offensive operations in the Kupiansk direction but were unsuccessful. According to the ISW, the occupiers’ advance was hindered by three serious problems at once.
Protest sentiment is growing in Russia amid delays in salary payments, low incomes, excessive workloads, and labor rights violations. Workers in various regions of the country are increasingly going on strike and demanding payment of their earned wages.
