One person was killed and eight others were injured in the Sumy region as a result of Russian shelling
In the Sumy region, one person was killed and eight other civilians, including a child, were wounded as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, a 53-year-old man was killed and another 76-year-old man was injured in the Velykopysarivska community as a result of a drone attack. In the Bilopil community, a 68-year-old man was injured when a drone struck a residential building.
In the Krasnopil community, a drone struck a car, injuring two men aged 50 and 55. In the Velykochernechchynskyi Starosty of the Sumy City Community, a 58-year-old man was injured when a drone struck a car.
Additionally, in the Mykolaiv rural community, an 11-year-old girl and a 41-year-old man were injured as a result of a drone strike. In the Shostka community, a 58-year-old man sustained injuries.
According to the Regional Military Administration, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out more than 90 shelling attacks on 37 settlements across 21 territorial communities in the region. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy, Konotop, and Shostka districts. The occupiers used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, and guided aerial bombs.
As a result of the shelling, residential buildings, vehicles, a store, a medical facility, an educational institution, an agricultural enterprise, farm buildings, and other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed.

As a reminder, on July 26, in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, a Russian drone struck a private residential building. A 40-year-old woman was killed in the attack, and nine other people were injured, including two children.
On the night of July 26, Russian forces launched an attack on Kyiv, resulting in fires in the Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of the capital.
