Ukrainian defenders repel 54 enemy assaults near Pokrovsk
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aviation carried out successful strikes on five areas where Russian troops and military equipment were concentrated, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Despite intense pressure from the invaders, Ukraine’s Defence Forces continue to hold their positions and effectively degrade the enemy’s offensive capabilities.
A total of 235 combat engagements were recorded along the front, indicating extremely high fighting intensity across almost all sectors.
The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot, where Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 50 enemy assaults.
Russian forces continue to target civilian towns and Ukrainian positions, deploying over 6,800 kamikaze drones and carrying out 3,534 artillery strikes in a single day.
In addition, enemy aviation dropped 235 guided bombs in an attempt to breach Ukrainian defences with massed attacks.
Several settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions came under fire, including Pokrovske, Huliaipilske, and Bilenke.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 54 enemy attacks near Toretske, Myrnohrad, and Pokrovsk itself. Thanks to decisive actions by Ukrainian units, the enemy failed to achieve a strategic breakthrough despite a significant numerical advantage.
The situation remains equally tense in the Kostiantynivka sector, where 32 enemy attacks were recorded near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, and in the direction of Kostiantynivka, as Russian forces attempted to improve their tactical position.
On the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors, the enemy made over 20 attempts to penetrate Ukrainian lines, with attacks recorded towards Lyman, Drobysheve, and Kupiansk. All were successfully repelled by mobile Defence Forces units.
In the South Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces tried 14 times to breach defensive lines near Vovchansk and surrounding hamlets. They employed small-group tactics under artillery cover but were met with firm resistance from Ukrainian defenders.
In the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk sectors, Ukrainian forces halted 14 enemy advance attempts. Fighting took place near Yampil, Minkivka, and Holubivka, where the enemy sought to capture high ground for further offensives.
According to updated information, no enemy assaults were recorded in the Prydniprovskiy sector over the past day.
It should be recalled that Ukrainian forces neutralised another 1,520 Russian troops over the past 24 hours.
Since the start of the day, 101 combat engagements have taken place between Ukraine’s Defence Forces and Russian troops.
