Ukrainian Armed Forces report 1,520 Russian troops killed in past day
The total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine from 24 February 2022 to 19 March 2026 are estimated at approximately 1,284,090 personnel. Over the past day alone, a further 1,520 Russian troops were killed.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to updated data, Russian military losses also include:
- tanks – 11,786 (+0);
- armoured combat vehicles – 24,233 (+4);
- artillery systems – 38,538 (+32);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 1,691 (+3);
- air defence systems – 1,333 (+0);
- aircraft – 435 (+0);
- helicopters – 349 (+0);
- operational-tactical UAVs – 185,724 (+1,391);
- cruise missiles – 4,468 (+0);
- ships and boats – 33 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0);
- vehicles and fuel tankers – 84,129 (+155);
- special equipment – 4,092 (+1).
The General Staff noted that the figures are being updated.
On 18 March, 215 combat engagements took place along the front line between Ukraine’s Defence Forces and Russian troops. In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces carried out 49 attacks, during which Ukrainian troops killed more than 160 Russian soldiers.
Ukraine’s Defence Forces also regained positions near Berezove in the Dnipropetrovsk region, pushing back Russian forces.
