Ukrainian tennis player reacted emotionally to Russia's attack on a university in Kyiv

Alexander Dolgopolov, a well-known Ukrainian tennis player and now a soldier, stated that Ukraine is not striking Moscow and the rest of Russia hard enough. The athlete reacted emotionally to the Russian attack on Kyiv, particularly the strike on the university, where students were attending classes at the time.

He noted that the Russians attacked a university full of students in broad daylight while classes were in session.

“Have you seen Western ‘pro-Russian sympathizers’ express outrage in the same way they did after the attacks on oil refineries in Moscow? Of course, I thought so,” Dolgopolov wrote.

In his opinion, similar strikes should be carried out against Moscow and all of Russia.

“We’re not doing enough,” he emphasized.

It should be noted that on the afternoon of September 23, footage of a Russian strike on one of the buildings of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture was circulating online.

Russian troops struck a passenger bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Five people were killed and seven others were wounded as a result of the attack, according to Serhiy Hanzha, head of the Regional Military Administration.

Over the past 24 hours, 278 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk direction—Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 enemy attacks.

As of September 16, 2026, the Ukrainian military had eliminated 1,530 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The Russian Federation’s total military losses increased by another 1,530 soldiers.
