On the night of May 22, explosions were heard in the occupied cities of Mariupol and Donetsk, as well as in Yaroslavl, Russia, which came under drone attack. According to local sources and Russian authorities, drones launched a massive attack on targets within Russian territory, while in the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk Oblast, reports emerged of a series of explosions and air defense activity.


On the night of May 22, the occupied cities of Mariupol and Donetsk came under drone attack. According to preliminary information, a substation in Nikolskoye was hit, leaving some villages in the Mariupol district and certain areas of Mariupol without power.

On the night of May 22, the Russian city of Yaroslavl came under a massive drone attack. Local residents reported that around 1:30 a.m., air raid sirens went off in the city, followed by 15 to 20 powerful explosions. Eyewitnesses observed bright flashes in the sky, and the shockwaves triggered car alarms en masse in residential neighborhoods.

On the night of May 17, a number of military-industrial complex and energy facilities in Moscow and the Moscow region were struck. Strikes were carried out on an oil depot in Durikino, an oil refinery in Kapotnya, the Angstrom microelectronics plant, and the Raduga Design Bureau, which develops cruise missiles.

On the morning of May 16, Moscow also came under attack by drones, causing airports in the Russian capital to temporarily suspend operations.

The “ATESH” partisan movement claimed responsibility for a sabotage operation in the Moscow region, which disrupted the functioning of elements of the Russian air defense system on the outskirts of the capital.
