Drones attacked a steel mill in occupied Alchevsk

In the temporarily occupied city of Alchevsk in the Luhansk region, unidentified drones attacked a steel mill; there are also reports of a strike on a power substation.

According to OSINT channels on Telegram, a massive fire broke out on the plant’s premises following the attack. 

Photos and videos from the scene showing thick smoke and flames are circulating online.

Prior to this, there were reports of drones striking the substation. Eyewitnesses are also posting videos with emotional comments about the attack.

Public posts note that Russian air defenses were unable to effectively respond to the drone raid. “Locals say they aren’t even trying to shoot them down. Drones are falling nonstop,” reads one of the posts.

The Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant has continued operations since the city’s occupation in 2014, though its functions have changed. According to available information, the facility is currently involved in manufacturing products for the Russian military-industrial complex, including armored steel and ammunition components.

As a reminder, on the night of March 29, drones attacked the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation, resulting in a fire at the Ust-Luga port.

As a reminder, drones attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad region.

Drones also attacked the Saratov region, with over 60 explosions reported.
