Drones attack Dorogobuzh chemical plant in Russia’s Smolensk region
On the night of 25 February, unidentified drones attacked the chemical plant “PJSC Dorogobuzh” in the city of Dorogobuzh, Smolensk Oblast.
This was reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel.
According to analysis results, a fire was recorded on the plant’s premises following the attack. Images from the scene, published by local Telegram channels, were reportedly taken from a road approximately 1.3 kilometres away.
The chemical plant had previously been targeted by Ukrainian drones in December 2025.

PJSC “Dorogobuzh” is a major chemical industry enterprise in the Smolensk region of Russia. It specialises in the production of nitrogen fertilisers and other chemical products.
Its output includes ammonium nitrate, components of which can be used in both civilian and military sectors.
The attack highlights the strategic importance of chemical industry facilities in the Smolensk region and their vulnerability to modern unmanned systems.
Earlier, Transneft reduced oil intake by 250,000 barrels per day following a drone attack on a key oil pumping station in Tatarstan. A fire caused by the overnight strike damaged two large storage tanks at the Kaleykino oil pumping station and affected crude supplies from Tatneft, according to Russian media reports.
Ukrainian drones also reportedly disabled half of the storage tanks at an oil depot in Velikiye Luki, Pskov region. Russian forces had attempted to protect the facility with anti-drone structures, but these measures proved ineffective.
