Since the beginning of the current day, 56 combat engagements with Russian occupation forces have taken place at the front.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian troops continue to shell border areas. In the Sumy region, the settlements of Bachivsk, Bezsalivka, Rohizne, Ryzhivka, Kysla Dubyna, Budky, Khodyne, Kharkivka, Korenok, Esman, Novovasylivka, Yastrubshchyna, Volfyne, and Neskuchne came under attack. The settlement of Kostobobriv in the Chernihiv region was also shelled.
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out one airstrike, dropping three guided aerial bombs, and also conducted 76 shellings of positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, five of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi and Kupiansk directions, no offensive actions by the enemy have currently been recorded.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attempts by the enemy to advance toward Cherneshchyna, Drobysheve, and Lyman. In the Sloviansk direction, the aggressor attacked twice in the areas of Yampil and Platonivka. In the Kramatorsk direction, no offensive actions have been recorded.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the occupiers carried out 14 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and in the directions of Illinivka and Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted 14 times to push Ukrainian units out of their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Kotlyne, and Novomykolaivka, as well as in the directions of Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopavlivka. Two combat engagements are currently ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked three times near Novohryhorivka and Krasnohirsk.
In the Huliaipole direction, 16 attacks were recorded in the areas of Huliaipole and Zelenе, as well as in the directions of Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, and Staroukrainka. The Defense Forces have already repelled 14 attacks. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Kopani, Barvinivka, Verkhna Tersa, and Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, one combat engagement took place near Stepnohirsk.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian units repelled one enemy attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge. The General Staff added that no significant changes in the situation have been recorded in other directions.
The Defense Forces struck key Russian air defense facilities and drone control points.
It should be recalled that in the Kupiansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a camouflaged MT-LB and enemy drones.
It was also reported that drones attacked the “VNIIR-Progress” plant in Cheboksary in the Russian Federation.
