The Security Service of Ukraine struck a strategic oil pumping station near the Russian city of Perm, located more than 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on Telegram.
According to the agency, on the night of April 29, specialists from the “Alpha” Special Operations Center struck the “Perm” production and dispatch station. The facility belongs to the joint-stock company “Transneft” and is a key hub in the Russian Federation’s main oil transportation system.
Oil is distributed in four directions through this station, including to the Perm Oil Refinery.
A large-scale fire broke out at the facility following an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles. According to preliminary data, the fire engulfed most of the oil storage tanks.
The Security Service of Ukraine emphasized that such strikes are aimed at reducing the Russian Federation’s export potential and undermining its economic base.
