In Tuapse, drones attacked an oil refinery and the port; restrictions have been imposed at airports
On the night of April 28, Russia’s Krasnodar Krai came under another drone attack. The Tuapse oil refinery and a maritime terminal were targeted.
This is reported by Russian media and OSINT channels.
After 2 a.m., more than a dozen explosions were heard in the Tuapse area. Local residents reported gunfire, bright flashes in the sky, and fires at the sites where drone debris fell.
Social media also reported a strike on a tank farm near a processing facility, which caused at least two tanks to catch fire. Later, reports emerged of a second attack while fires at the port and refinery had not yet been extinguished.
In response to the attack, restrictions were imposed on aircraft arrivals and departures at the airports in Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, and Sochi.
The Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters confirmed the drone attack on Tuapse, including the oil refinery and the seaport. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
Previously, following similar attacks in the area, oil spills were reported: contaminated soil and fuel oil were hauled away by trucks, and local residents complained about environmental pollution.
