Video: The Third Army Corps liberated three villages during Operation Vivaldi
The Third Army Corps completed the third phase of Operation “Vivaldi,” liberating Nove, Ridkodub, and Katerynivka. During the offensive, troops also regained control of Karpivka and Novomykhailivka, reclaiming a total of 176 km² of Ukrainian territory.
“The Third Army Corps liberated Novoye, Ridkodub, and Katerynivka and regained control of Karpivka and Novomykhailivka. Enemy losses amounted to 2,000 personnel, and over 250 Russians were taken prisoner. This marked the end of the third phase of “Vivaldi,” a turning point for the entire operation,” the statement said.
The corps noted that during the third phase of the operation, an additional 51 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory were recaptured, bringing the total reclaimed since the start of offensive operations to 176 square kilometers. The main objective of the third phase was Novoye—a key enemy hub on the bridgehead.
According to Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps, control over the high ground surrounding this settlement allows for maintaining the initiative on the bridgehead.
“The enemy was convinced that the main direction of the attack was Shandryholove–Zelena Dolyna. This forced them to senselessly burn through their reserves in counterattacks precisely in that direction. The Russians missed the real attack, which was focused on capturing Novoye,” Biletsky stated.
To break through the enemy’s defenses, the Third Army Corps deployed Soviet BTR-60 armored personnel carriers, converted into robotic kamikaze systems. These were used to blow up the enemy’s strongest fortifications. Entire Russian units, including officers, pilots, and artillerymen, surrendered.
Soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade played a key role in the third season of “Vivaldi”; according to the corps, they demonstrated high morale and professionalism. The 3rd Border Guard Detachment, named after Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Pikus, regained full control of Ridkodub and quickly established defenses along the new front lines. The 10th Mobile Border Detachment “DOZOR” took an active part in the assault operations.

As a reminder, during Operation Vivaldi, robots laid 400 meters of minefields.
In addition, during Operation Vivaldi, ground robots were deployed behind enemy lines for the first time.
Ukrainian defense forces liberated Shandryholove and Derylove in the Donetsk region and established full control over Drobyshev. This was reported by Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps. According to him, this took place as part of the “Vivaldi” offensive operation.
As part of Operation “Vivaldi,” Ukrainian forces are continuing their offensive operations in the north of the Donetsk region. Over the course of the week, the Defense Forces made further advances, including clearing and liberating several settlements.
