According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, the attack took place around 11:45 a.m. “Novhorod-Siverskyi. Today, September 30, at approximately 11:45 a.m., an enemy ‘Molniya’-type UAV struck one of the city’s businesses,” Seliverstov reported.
Two civilian men were injured in the strike. They are residents born in 1995 and 1998. According to preliminary information, they sustained acoustic trauma and shrapnel wounds. The victims were transported to a local medical facility, where they are receiving the necessary care. Further details regarding the attack and the extent of the damage are currently being determined.
Semenivka Was Also Hit
On the same day, Russian troops attacked another town in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district—Semenivka. There, a Russian FPV drone was recorded striking a civilian infrastructure facility. According to preliminary information, there are currently no reports of casualties in Semenivka. Details regarding possible damage are also being clarified.
The Semenivka community is regularly subjected to attacks by Russian drones. In September, Russian troops had already struck the town’s civilian infrastructure with FPV drones, specifically targeting facilities that were not military targets. In some cases, the strikes damaged homes and other civilian structures. The Novhorod-Siverskyi district is located near the border with Russia, so the community’s settlements are regularly targeted by airstrikes. Russian troops are using various types of drones here, including FPV drones and “Molniya”-type drones.
Currently, relevant services are working in the Chernihiv region to assess the consequences of the new strikes. In Novhorod-Siverskyi, medical personnel are providing assistance to two wounded men.
