Belarus is helping Russia attack Ukraine with drones using relay stations, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine
Belarus continues to facilitate Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory using strike drones. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, this is done using repeaters and other technical equipment that amplify the signal for Russian drones.
At the same time, he said, no significant changes in the situation along the border with Belarus have been observed so far. In particular, Ukrainian border guards have not observed the formation or buildup of strike forces on the territory of the neighboring country.
“No significant changes have been observed along the border with Belarus. As before, there is no evidence of the buildup or formation of strike groups, nor of any overall increase in the number of troops or the presence on Belarusian territory of either the Belarusian army or units of the Russian Federation,” said Andriy Demchenko.
The State Border Guard Service spokesperson noted that, despite the absence of signs of strike force formation, Belarus continues to provide technical support for Russian drone attacks.
According to Demchenko, this involves the use of repeaters and other technical means designed to amplify the signal of Russian UAVs.
“At the same time, he said, Belarus continues to support the Russian Federation’s attacks on Ukrainian territory using strike UAVs with the help of repeaters and other technical means that amplify the signal for Russian drones,” the spokesperson noted.
Andriy Demchenko also drew attention to Russia’s increased use of drones to strike western regions of Ukraine.
According to him, this activity has become particularly noticeable since the beginning of September. Among the areas under attack, the spokesperson specifically mentioned the Volyn region.
“Therefore, as we can see, the enemy has recently—especially since early September—been quite actively using its unmanned aerial vehicles to strike the western regions of our country. In particular, this applies to the Volyn region, where attacks are targeting border crossing points, effectively reaching right up to the border with Poland,” Andriy Demchenko emphasized.
This was stated by State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andriy Demchenko during a briefing.
Earlier, Belarus once again activated repeaters that amplify the signal of Russian strike drones and help them penetrate deeper into Ukrainian territory. In particular, an attack in the direction of the “Yagodyn” border crossing point was carried out with the support of these devices.
On Belarusian territory, repeaters are periodically activated to amplify the signal for Russian drones during launches targeting Ukrainian territory, particularly its western regions.
