Video: A massive explosion rocked Moscow
A powerful explosion rocked Moscow on the morning of August 7; according to local residents, the shockwave from the blast was felt in various parts of the Russian capital and its suburbs.
The loud noise was heard around 11:00 a.m. According to eyewitnesses, it was heard in several parts of Moscow at once, as well as in towns and villages in the Moscow Region.
Residents of the capital said the shock wave was so powerful that windows and walls shook in their apartments.
In particular, the loud and distant sound of the explosion was heard in central and northern Moscow, in residential buildings and offices.
Residents of areas near the “Varshavskaya” and “Domodedovskaya” metro stations also reported hearing the loud blast.
So far, local residents have not observed any visible signs of a strike, damage, or fire.
Russian authorities and Moscow’s official services have not yet commented on reports of the powerful explosion.
One eyewitness said the sound was heard simultaneously in different parts of the city.
“We just heard a distinct, distant, loud explosion at the office in central Moscow; almost immediately, friends from the suburbs, who are in completely different locations, messaged that they heard it too. Apparently, something exploded very powerfully,” he noted.
Other residents of the capital also report that the force of the explosion caused windows in their apartments to rattle, though no visible damage has been observed so far.
The cause of the explosion and its possible consequences remain unknown at this time.

As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
