Video: Search continues in Ternopil for 22 people missing under the rubble
In Ternopil, rescuers have been working around the clock for almost a day to clear the rubble after a massive attack, but the fate of 22 people remains unknown.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who stressed that these people are considered missing and that the search for them is one of the top priorities.
Search and rescue operations continue day and night despite the difficult conditions and risks to personnel.
More than 230 rescuers from nine regions of Ukraine are involved in dealing with the aftermath of the strike. They are working in several shifts, dismantling damaged structures and checking every square metre of the rubble.
In some areas, it is impossible to use heavy equipment due to severe destruction, fragmented concrete slabs, and the threat of further collapses.
Therefore, much of the work must be done manually, which significantly slows the pace but allows for maximum caution.
According to official data, 26 people have been confirmed dead, including three children.
