Romania declared an air raid alert due to a Russian attack on the Odesa region

On the night of June 26, Romania declared an air raid alert following a Russian attack by strike drones on targets in the southern part of Ukraine’s Odesa Oblast, near the Romanian border.

Russian drones attacked infrastructure near Ukrainian cities along the Danube.

At 3:47 a.m., following a decision by the National Military Command Center, an air raid alert was declared for residents of the northern part of Tulcea County.

At 03:57, an IAR 330 Puma helicopter of the Romanian Air Force was scrambled to monitor the situation near the town of Sulina, close to the Ukrainian town of Vilkovo.

The all-clear was given at 04:23. The ministry emphasized that no violations of Romanian airspace or downed aerial targets on its territory were recorded.

This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense. 

On the night of June 26, Russian troops carried out another attack on energy and civilian infrastructure in the southern part of the Odesa region. As a result of the strike, some settlements were left without power, and one person was injured.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 887 attacks on 44 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and ten others were wounded.
