On July 8, a fire broke out at an oil facility in Ufa, Russia (Republic of Bashkortostan), following an attack. Due to the incident, dozens of flights were delayed at the city’s airport, and some planes were diverted to neighboring airports.
Footage released shows thick smoke rising near the oil refinery. There is currently no official information on the extent of the damage or possible casualties.
Meanwhile, local authorities reported disruptions at Ufa Airport. According to them, 17 departing flights and 14 arriving flights have been delayed. Two other planes headed for Ufa were forced to land in neighboring cities.
The reasons for the attack and its consequences have not been officially commented on.
