Russian forces are making gains near two towns in the Sumy region — DeepState

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have managed to advance near two villages in the Sumy community, close to the state border.

This was officially reported by analysts from the Ukrainian monitoring project DeepState, who track changes on the front lines.

According to the researchers, the villages in question are Prokhodi and Taratutine, which are part of the Krasnopil settlement community in the Sumy district. Analysts recorded the enemy’s successful operations specifically in these border areas.

“The enemy has advanced near Prokhodi and Taratutine,” reads the brief report from the monitoring project. These changes on the map reflect the complex dynamics of combat operations directly near the border with Russia.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also confirmed high intensity of combat operations in the northern sector. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy actively employed aviation and artillery and attempted to conduct assault operations.

In particular, in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the Russian army carried out an airstrike using a guided bomb.

In total, 84 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and civilian settlements were recorded.

Twice, the enemy used multiple-launch rocket systems to terrorize the border areas. Additionally, Ukrainian troops had to repel two enemy assaults aimed at improving the enemy’s tactical position.
