Russian forces shelled the Zaporizhzhia region 954 times over the past 24 hours; one person was killed and another wounded
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 954 strikes on 54 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. One person was killed and another was wounded as a result of the shelling.
According to the Regional Military Administration, the Russian army carried out 18 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Shevchenkivskyi, Samiilivka, Zelenyi, Barvinivka, Liubytske, Zorivka, Serhiivka, Sofiivka, Soniachne, Svoboda, Yegorivka, Preobrazhenka, Chervona Krynytsia, Novosoloshyne, and Vasynivka.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 676 drones of various types, primarily FPV drones, against Zaporizhzhia, Stepnogorsk, Dobropillia, Malaya Tokmachka, and 36 other settlements.
Russian troops also carried out 260 artillery strikes on Stepnogorsk, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Mala Tokmachka, and 16 other villages and towns.
According to the regional military administration, 30 reports were received regarding damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, and vehicles.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, as of August 2, 234 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops.
On the night of August 1, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 133 strike and decoy drones of various types. Air defense forces neutralized 109 enemy drones, but strikes were recorded at 19 locations.
