Service members will be trained to order drones through Army+
A new training course, “DOT-Chain Defense Weapons Marketplace,” has been added to the “Army+” app. It will help military personnel learn how to use the DOT Defense Procurement Agency’s state IT system and order the necessary equipment.
The course focuses on using the marketplace, through which units can obtain drones, weapons, and other equipment.
As noted, through DOT-Chain Defence, military units can independently select and order drones, electronic warfare equipment, and other necessary equipment using government funds.

The course systematically explains the entire process of working with the system: from gaining access and searching for the necessary equipment to completing paperwork, tracking deliveries, and receiving the equipment.
According to Mstislav Banik, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense, this training will be useful for military personnel responsible for supplying drones to their units, as well as those involved in the maintenance and repair of UAVs. First and foremost, it is intended for heads of logistics services and warehouses, unit and military unit commanders, administrative staff, and employees of frontline repair shops. The course aims to explain in detail how the platform works so that the right product can be selected as precisely as possible to meet the specific needs of a unit and its combat missions. It is designed to provide practical knowledge to make working with the marketplace easy.
The training course focuses on practical skills that military personnel can immediately apply when working with the system.
Structure of the “DOT-Chain Defence Weapons Marketplace” Course
The course consists of eight lessons that explain:
how to access DOT-Chain Defence and set up two-factor authentication;
how to navigate the catalog, find the necessary items, and place orders and pre-orders;
how to manage orders, sign documents with a digital signature, and track deliveries;
how to work with delivery notes and acceptance reports;
how to use ratings and reviews from other departments;
how to use the drone configurator to select a configuration that meets your department’s needs.
This course will help you quickly master the core tools of DOT-Chain Defence and confidently use the system in your daily work.
What Is DOT-Chain Defence
DOT-Chain Defence is a government marketplace through which military units can independently select drones, electronic warfare equipment, and other technology within the limits of allocated government funding.
The system shortens the path from a unit’s need to receiving the necessary equipment. Previously, this process could take anywhere from two to six months. Now, available equipment is delivered in an average of 9 days.
DOT-Chain Defence has significantly improved the supply of drones and other equipment to the military. The system is already in use by 486 units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service.
DOT-Chain Defence is part of the “Drone Army.Bonus” program.
It is also noted that the course was developed by a team from the DOT Defense Procurement Agency in partnership with the non-governmental organization “Magura.”

The Ministry of Defense is preparing new rules for food procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the “State Logistics Operator,” is updating the technical specifications for individual food rations. The changes are based on the results of a survey conducted via the “Army+” app, in which over 60,000 military personnel participated.
For the first time, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has included halal and kosher dry rations in the daily field rations. This decision was made with the religious beliefs of service members in mind and to raise nutritional standards in the Armed Forces.
