Six people were wounded as a result of a nighttime combined attack by the Russian Federation on Odesa

On the night of August 9, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Odesa using strike drones and ballistic missiles, resulting in at least six people being injured.

The shelling of the city began around 3:30 a.m. and lasted over an hour. According to **Serhiy Lysak**, head of the Odesa Military Administration, damage to residential buildings and vehicles destroyed by fire was reported in several districts of the city.

Authorities note that all those affected are receiving the necessary medical care, and emergency services continue to address the aftermath of the enemy strike at the impact sites.

As of August 8, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to approximately 1,456,610 soldiers. 

On August 7, there were 192 combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops on the front lines. The occupiers were most active in the Pokrovsk direction—25 assaults were recorded there over the past 24 hours, and Ukrainian forces neutralized 56 Russian soldiers.

Russian troops have made new advances near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Changes along the front line were documented by the DeepState monitoring project.
