An 89-year-old woman was killed and seven people were wounded as a result of the Russian attack on Mykolaiv
On the night of August 4, 2026, Russian troops launched an attack on a residential area in Mykolaiv. An 89-year-old woman was killed in the attack, and seven other people were injured.
“Last night, Russian scum attacked the residential area in Mykolaiv. The Russians killed an 89-year-old woman. My condolences. Seven more people were injured,” said Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych.
According to him, private homes and apartment buildings sustained significant damage as a result of the attack. The mayor noted that immediately after the air raid alert ended, city services arrived on the scene and began assessing the damage caused by the shelling and determining the most urgent tasks.
“Right now, crews from municipal utilities are preparing to head out to assist residents as quickly as possible and begin cleaning up the damage,” he added.
Information on the extent of the damage is being clarified.
