Russia attacked Odessa overnight: there are casualties and damage
On the night of April 30, Russia carried out two waves of massive attacks on Odesa. The Primorskyi district was hit hardest: fires broke out in high-rise buildings, and a kindergarten sustained significant damage. Sixteen people were injured in the attacks; two of them are in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care.
This information was released by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Administration.
Primorsky District — the most damage
The strikes hit residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities in various parts of the city. The Primorsky district was hit hardest: a high-rise building and a five-story residential building were damaged—large-scale fires broke out on the upper floors and the roof, which rescuers managed to contain.
Private homes in the city center were also damaged.
A kindergarten, a hotel, and dozens of cars
A kindergarten building sustained significant damage. A shopping center, a hotel, and administrative buildings were damaged.
Dozens of buses and passenger cars were destroyed or damaged at several parking lots.
In the Khadzhibey district, strikes hit infrastructure facilities, warehouse buildings, and a garage cooperative.



Casualties
16 people were injured, including a 17-year-old boy. Two are in intensive care in serious condition; doctors are fighting to save their lives.
One man was hospitalized in the trauma unit; the rest received on-site treatment or were referred for outpatient care.
More than 280 specialists and 68 pieces of equipment have been deployed to address the aftermath. Emergency response centers have been set up on-site for residents of the damaged buildings.
As a reminder, during the previous Russian attack on Kyiv, one of the missiles exploded near a construction site belonging to the developer SAGA Development in the Pochaina district. Six construction workers were injured as a result of the incident.
In Kyiv, 60 cars were burned in a massive Russian attack, and two security guards were killed.
As a reminder, the death toll from the massive drone attack on Odesa on January 27 has risen to four. An elderly man died in the hospital from his injuries.
On the night of January 29, Russia struck Odesa with attack drones, causing a fire at one of the industrial facilities.
