Russia's losses exceeded 1,200 troops in a day — General Staff
On August 18, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported new losses suffered by the Russian army. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,210 invaders, bringing the total number of Russian military personnel lost since the start of the full-scale invasion to approximately 1,469,970.
As of August 18, Russia has lost the following in the war with Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,469,970 (+1,210) individuals;
- tanks – 12,274 (+2);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,162 (+7);
- artillery systems – 48,155 (+55);
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 2,040 (+3);
- air defense systems – 1,577 (+5);
- aircraft – 439 (+0);
- helicopters – 354 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,292 (+19) units;
- operational-tactical-level UAVs – 467,459 (+1,962) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,010 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 35 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 135,891 (+443) units;
- special equipment – 4,547 (+7) units

As a reminder, the Russians carried out 185 attacks on the front line; the Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot.
