The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) has released information on six more Russian propagandists

On August 19, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Center for Countering Disinformation, released information on six more Russian public figures believed to be participating in Russia’s information war against Ukraine. Information about them was posted in the “Kremlin’s Mouthpieces” section of the War&Sanctions portal;

The information was published in the “Kremlin’s Mouthpieces” section of the War&Sanctions portal. Among them are, in particular:

Sergey Tovkach—a Russian developer of unmanned aerial systems and the author of the Telegram channel “UAV Developer.” He spreads anti-Ukrainian rhetoric, publishes materials from combat zones, organizes fundraisers for the needs of participants in the so-called “special military operation,” and disseminates technical information and advice on the use of UAVs by the Russian Armed Forces against Ukraine.

Alexey Chadaev—a Russian publicist and political strategist, advisor to the Russian Minister of Transport, and CEO of the ANO “USHKUYNIK Research and Development Center.” One of the organizers of the technological support for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in the field of unmanned aerial systems.

Roman Golovanov is a correspondent for the domestic politics department of the “Komsomolskaya Pravda” publishing house and a host on the “Spas” and “Solovyov Live” television channels. He spreads destructive narratives and religious disinformation, including false claims about alleged “persecution of the Orthodox Church and Christianity” in Ukraine.

The “Kremlin’s Mouthpieces” section of the War&Sanctions portal already contains information on nearly 200 representatives of Russian propaganda who justify the Russian Federation’s aggression and war crimes, manipulate information of public importance, spread disinformation about events on the front lines, and influence public opinion in various regions of the world.

The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and the Center for Public Diplomacy (CPD) have called on partner states to impose personal sanctions on representatives of the Russian Federation’s propaganda apparatus, restrict their entry, freeze their financial assets, and cease media and commercial cooperation.

Earlier, Azerbaijan issued an international arrest warrant for three Russian propagandists.

Prior to that, Azerbaijan had declared its readiness to supply gas to Ukraine.

As a reminder, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov arrived in Kyiv on Thursday, August 6, for an official visit. During the trip, he is scheduled to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sibiga and other high-ranking Ukrainian officials.

On July 29, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported that nearly 40 metric tons of equipment from Azerbaijan had been delivered via the ministry’s hub to one of the regional railway divisions.
