Over the past week, the Russians have launched more than 2,800 drones and 1,350 unmanned aerial vehicles toward Ukraine
Over the past week, Russian forces have deployed a massive amount of weaponry against Ukraine, including more than 2,800 attack drones and nearly 1,350 guided munitions.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram.
The enemy also launched more than 40 missiles of various types. This was officially announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In just one night, the invaders deployed over 140 attack drones, including about 80 “Shahed” drones.
The head of state emphasized that such massive attacks have become a daily challenge for the Ukrainian people. Currently, combat operations and efforts to address the aftermath of the strikes are ongoing in some regions of the country.
“In total, the Russians launched over 140 attack drones against Ukraine overnight, and about 80 of them were ‘Shaheds.’ In some regions, the strikes are still ongoing. And this is just a fraction of what our people are going through every day,” the Head of State noted.
Odesa was particularly hard hit, where, as a result of the nighttime drone attack, strikes were recorded on residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a power substation.
Due to the destruction of energy infrastructure, thousands of Ukrainian families were left without electricity. Repair crews are working around the clock to restore the power grid.
“As of now, unfortunately, we know that three people were killed in this attack, including a child who was only two years old. My sincere condolences to their families and loved ones. Sixteen people were wounded,” the President emphasized.
In addition to the southern region, the enemy targeted energy facilities in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Such actions by the aggressor are aimed at destabilizing the livelihoods of the civilian population. Ukraine continues to call on international partners to take decisive steps to strengthen air defense.
Russians attacked a car in Zaporizhzhia with a drone; two people were injured.
Enemy forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region.
