The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are investigating food supply disruptions in three brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is addressing instances of inadequate food supplies in certain brigades. Specifically, problems have been identified in the 30th Mechanized Brigade, the 128th Airborne Brigade, and the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
"Instances of insufficient food supplies to remote positions in the 30th Mechanized Brigade, the 128th Airborne Brigade, and the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade must not become systemic. The Ministry of Defense is working with the General Staff on this issue," the statement reads.
It is noted that the situation in the 14th Mechanized Brigade is indicative. Currently, a commission of the Army is conducting an investigation; the brigade commander has been relieved of duty, and those responsible, the ministry emphasized, will be held accountable.
The Ministry of Defense stated that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi ordered the commanders of formations and corps to verify the supply of troops on the front lines by May 20.
"Distorted reports on the combat situation will have direct negative consequences for officials," the statement said.
The Ministry of Defenseis preparing a large-scale reform of the service.
